Do you know your face shape?

Have you ever wondered what shape glasses compliment your face shape? To make the right choice it’s good to know a couple of things: What is your face shape, does the bridge fit well, are the temples long / short enough? 

Oval Face Shape- people with oval faces are in luck! Pretty much any frame style will suit you. But a RECTANGLE and CATEYE will truly shine on you. 

Square Face Shape- with square faces you want to choose frames that soften your features and elongate your face. Your style will rock in ROUND or OVAL frames. 

Round Face Shape- Round faces are relatively short with a round chin. Sharper angles compliment this face shape. Finish your look with small RECTANGLE glasses. 

Heart Face Shape- Heart shaped faces usually means a broad forehead with wide cheek bones and narrows down to a small chin. OVAL and CATEYE work especially well Rock your look with some RIMLESS glasses. 

Triangle / Pear Face Shape- when browsing for pear shaped faces you want strong brow bars and widening features. Go with RECTANGLE OR OVAL. Look your best in some bold horn-rimmed glasses.

Get your glasses professionally cleaned when possible.

If you can see particles of contamination, then it’s migrating to all surfaces of the glasses, including the hinges and lenses. 

The use of ultra sonic cleaners is your best guarantee of thorough cleaning removing the grime and disinfecting. This should only be done by eye care professionals. 

How does it work? Ultra sonic cleaners work through high frequency sound waves transmitted through liquid to clean surfaces and immersed parts. The high frequency sound waves , typically 40 khz, agitate the liquid solution of water or solvent, and cause the cavitation of solution molecules. 

Grease, makeup, oils, and dead skin carry bacteria!

How to clean your glasses at home.

Rinse your glasses under a gentle stream of water. This will remove dust and other debris. Avoid HOT water, this can damage some coatings. 

Apply less than a pea size amount of regular Dawn dish soap to the eyewear. Gently suds up your lenses and frames parts including any hardware. Rinse throughly. Then use your favorite microfiber cleaning cloth to wipe dry. 

Some people just prefer to spray and wipe with a microfiber cloth. Don’t forget about the hinges. Grab a Q-tip and wipe away any debris around the lenses, nose pads, and hinges.

How to take care of your sunglasses.

    • Protect from scratches at all costs! (pockets, purses & key)
    • Remove smudges 
    • Avoid harmful cleaners
    • Do NOT leave your sunglasses in the car ( Heat damage, and thieves )! 
    •  Wear your sunglasses properly on your face. 
    • Get tune ups regularly 
    • Always use an eyeglass case
    • Store in a familiar place 
    • Use proper care on mirror coated lenses after activities. 
    • Keep eyeglass cleaners accessible and clean regularly

    • Don’t use your shirt tail
    • Don’t use harmful cleaners on the frame or the lenses
    • Don’t wear your glasses on your head or around your neck 
    • Don’t leave in your car. Heat damage
    • Don’t use paper towels, napkins, tissue paper, or TP
    • Don’t leave your glasses out to wear your pet can eat 
    • Don’t lick, use saliva to clean your lenses
    • Don’t set lenses face down on surfaces
    • Don’t throw your glasses into your purse
    • Don’t put in your pocket
    • Don’t ever use super glue on your glasses
    • Don’t attempt to adjust your own glasses
    • Don’t wear other peoples glasses
    • Don’t use HOT water on lenses
    • AND DON’T WEAR THE SAME GLASSES FOR 10 YRS!
